Description: Estes Aero Fin model rocket kit #1390 was produced in the mid 1980s with blue and black hang tag and a combination white, pink and black colored facecard. The Aero Fin is a cool skill level 2 kit with unique five fin design. It is powered with 18mm engines and Estes estimates that the sport rocket was capable of reaching 1200 feet. The rocket uses 18" steamer recovery due to high altitudes and being light weight.
The kit features a main body tube, plastic nose cone, die cut balsa for fins, an engine mounting system, launch lug and instruction sheet.
I consider this kit to be moderately rare due to it's infrequent appearance on eBay.
