Description: The Lancer model rocket kit #1993 was produced during 1988 through 1990 timeframe. The kit packaging is typical Estes plastic black hang tag and a multi color facecard showing the yellow Lancer rocket in flight. The Lancer is a simple build skill level 1 kit with a plastic fin can. The Lancer is powered by 18mm engines and Estes estimates that the sport rocket is capable of flights up to 800 ft. Safe recovery is via a 12" parachute.

The Lancer kit packaging design with a plastic hang tag kit has a solid white backing for more Estes marketing information. This solid backing does not allow the buyer to check for damaged components; so buyer must beware.

Kit Contents: The kit contains a main body tube, plastic nose cone, plastic fin can, 18mm engine mount, blue color decal sheet, launch lug and instruction sheet.

Availability: While tracking Estes model rocket kit sales on eBay during February 2008 through March 2011, the Lancer kit did not appear often. My records have no observations for eBay true auction sales for the Lance kit. The Lancer kit in my personal collection was purchased as a Buy It Now listing. I did not record sales via Buy It Now listings in the Estes kit database.
