Description: Horizontal image: pre-Damon Era Astron X-RAY available from 1965 through 1967 without hang tag. The facecard is part of the instruction sheet. The facecard is white background and illustrated with a red outlined X-Ray rocket image, the name "Astron X-RAY" in black and red letters, a printed price of "Only $1.75" and K-18 kit number. Estes marketed the Astron X-RAY as a single stage payload rocket with visible payload bay.
The kit features a main body tube, balsa nose cone, clear payload section, a balsa adapter, one sheet of balsa fin stock, 12" parachute, engine mount, launch lug, and instructions.
