Description: Vertical two panel face card with typical black borders coupled with a yellow double oval hang tag typical of Damon era kit packaging. Upper panel highlights the Interceptor rocket in flight on a light blue background. Pricing of $4.95 is contained within black oval. A black and white photograph of young modeler with completed Interceptor completes the upper panel. The lower panel contains kit specifications and engine recommendations.

The Interceptor was a ground breaking kit with exotic design, plastic components to enhance the design and spectacular decals for building a desk model or a sport flyer. The Interceptor was featured on the cover of the 1971 Estes catalog. Estes offered replacement plastic parts including the wing pods and tail cone.

The kit is comprised of a main body tube, plastic nose cone, tail cone and wing pods, two balsa sheets, two balsa wing pods, engine mount, launch lug, two decal sheets and instructions.
