Comments: The reverse die will show progressive die cracks at STA(T)ES and A(M)ERIC(A) to rim. Die rust is evident within the central portion of the wreath leaves and around the bow knot. 1843-O dimes have a Medium O mintmark which is positioned left and high.  

A New Orleans date that is conditional rare in EF and extremely rare in full original AU or better. Few AU and Mint State specimens are known. Plate coin images are from finest known example.
