Comments: The obverse legend, on 1863 San Francisco obverses, is always weak and finding a well struck specimen will take time. On some examples, the reverse die shows faint die clashing, most noticeably by the left inner wreath. I have decided to mention this fact rather than providing a separate listing for a clashed die state.
