$175 		Heavily Eroded Dies, Satiny Luster, Active Cartwheels, Gem Surfaces, Twin Lakes Collection. A superb 1886 F-117 Liberty Seated dime with superb preservation that warrants a GFRC gem original quality rating. The F-117 die variety is easily attributed by an obverse strike with heavy die erosion. Deep metal flows lines radiate from the die center to the rim. Obverse field texture is approaching the "orange peel" appearance. Reverse die cracks are consistent with Liberty Seated dime web-book diagnostics. I believe this piece is actually Mint State with MS62 being an accurate grade. Dimes with heavy die erosion are particularly difficult to grade. A quality Twin Lakes Collection offering that is housed in PCGS Gen 4.6 (2013-2014) holder with CAC approval. Ideal for the die variety specialist. December 1969
