$775 		Choice Original, Seal Beach Collection. Production of Seated halves escalated considerably in the mid-1870s with the discovery of abundant silver mines in the west. Much of the precious metal made its way to the San Francisco, where it could be deposited at the Mint for lustrous, gem uncirculated coins. While the present coin is not rare in an absolute sense, it is uncommon with this level of originality. Antique silver surfaces exhibit gold, grey, and russet shades that are mixed throughout. The strike is full with sharp stars and near-complete detail within the figure of the eagle. Type I reverse with a plain field beneath the reverse shield. Housed in a PCGS Gen 4.4 (2005-2011) holder with CAC approval. December 1969
