Yet another CAC-approved piece from the Newtown consignor, this Seated half exhibits a richly toned obverse with shades of gold and deeper gray at rims, while the reverse is lighter throughout. The WB-4 variety is distinct with a "footless" 1 in the date, missing part of the serif to the lower left, and a mintmark punched well left of center. This is not an expensive coin, but remains a choice example with visual interest, and not easily located as such. Housed in a PCGS Gen 4.4 (2005-2011) holder with CAC approval. CAC has approved 16 pieces finer. December 1969
