Near-Gem Original, 5% Struck Off Center, Very Rare Error for Date, Cold Quarters Collection. An 1875 Carson City die pairing between a well worn obverse die (previously paired with one In Wreath and three Below Wreath reverse dies) and a reverse die with a leaning or "Lazy I" in DIME. This example is the F-114 Below Wreath plate coin at The Definitive Resource for Liberty Seated Dime Variety Collectors. Surfaces are 100% original and covered with crusty gray patina. Peripheral mint frost generates pleasing frosty luster during bright light inspection. Strike is completely executed on both sides. Housed in short lived PCGS Gen 4.2 (2004-2005) holder. The PCGS label reads, "Mint Error, Struck 5% Off Center." Previously sold at Heritage Auction during 2005 and off the market since that time. An exclusive offering that brings important numismatic and historical significance as few 1875-CC dated dimes are known with off centers strikes. December 1969
