Mirrored Fields, Reflective Luster, Golden-Rose Gray Toning, CAC Approval, Nevada Collection. During 1834, the second coinage act changed the silver:gold ratio from 15:1 to 16:1 as gold was overvalued which led to hoarding. Mintages of Capped Bust halves continued to be substantial from twenty-two die pairings. Therefore, this date can be found in all grades. The Nevada Collection specimen is wicked nice and belongs in an advanced collection. Choice fields are mirrored leading to crisp reflective luster during bright light inspection. Coloring is perfectly natural and as I would expect for the issue. A base layer of rose-gray is highlighted by peripheral gold. Housed in older NGC holder with standard insert and CAC approval. A fine offering worthy of special consideration. December 1969
