$2250 		Scarce and Popular Date, Choice Original, CAC Approval, West Coast Collection. The Liberty Seated quarter series, challenging enough to begin with, leaves yet another semi-key issue at the conclusion of the 1838-1891 run. The 1891-O mintage was low, 68,000 pieces, and few collectors cared much about branch Mint pieces at the time of issue. This piece exhibits mottled shades of slate, gray, and rose, with characteristic lighter tones at the high points. Surfaces are original, and CAC-approved piece are scarce, with only 35 examples certified across all grades. Housed in a Gen 4.4 (2005-2011) holder. December 1969
