$1600 		First Branch Mint Seated Dollar Issue, Mirrored Fields, Golden Patina, Choice Surfaces. A choice first year Seated dollar struck at the New Orleans mint. Mintage is 59,000 with most entering commerce in the Mississippi Valley per Bowers. I've seen my fair share of this date in dealer wholesale boxes with most being dipped or retoned regardless of TPG certification. This new example is a typical choice GFRC selected silver piece. Both sides are partially mirrored with crisp reflective luster under a bright light. A light golden patina covers the obverse while the reverse tends to faint gray shades. Strike is crisply executed with only a touch of weakness at the top of Liberty's head. Stars are well formed. An original piece that has not been dipped or molested.
