$325 		Choice Original, Hoosier AU58 Collection Sale. This crusty, original example exhibits a thick skin of gold and tan. A closer examination reveals occasional dirt in the recessed areas, more so on the obverse. Strike is typical, with soft stars and the feathers of the eagle's left leg blending together. Although a generously struck date, with over seven million examples coined, CAC has approved only 65 pieces across all grades with 28 in the Mint States grades combined. Although not an expensive coin, original examples such as this are scarce. Housed in a PCGS Gen 4.1 (2002-2004) holder with CAC approval. December 1969
