$3250 		Choice Original, Hoosier AU58 Collection Sale. The surfaces of this New Orleans piece are predominately grey, with gold highlights in the protected areas. Obverse and reverse shields both reveal light crust, a good hiding place for circulation dirt. Fields are smooth with three voids at the eagle's beak being the only marks of note. Briggs 1-A, with downward sloping date and the left side of the mintmark punched above the right side of (QUA)R. The strike is exceptional, with sharp stars and complete delineation of the design elements south of the reverse shield. The CAC population is 29 pieces in all grades, with just two MS pieces above this example. Housed in an NGC Gen 17 (2004-2008) holder with CAC approval. December 1969
