 Original $2350 Rare Grade, Frosty Luster, Polished Die State, Gerry Fortin Reference Collection. The 1851-O Liberty Seated dime date has finally been recognized for its rarity in AU grades or better. CoinFacts auctions records for this date are barren consistent with the lack of availability. GFRC is pleased to be offering an AU53 example that was purchased during 2004 and is finally being released from the confines of a bank box. This is a late die example struck from a heavily polished obverse die. Surfaces are brilliant frosty with corresponding luster. Strike is complete though much of the center motif details have been effaced. Housed in PCGS Gen 4.1 (2002-2004) holder.
