$3250 		Rare and Underrated Date, Superb Eye Appeal, Choice Original, Oregon Beaver Collection. The $2.5 Liberty gold series is replete with surprises. While the U.S. mints were cranking out excessive amounts of smaller copper and silver denominations, only 4,170 $2.5 pieces were struck. Few survivors are available in today's market with the total CAC approved population at 22 pieces. This Oregon Beaver release features lightly mirrored fields and moderate reflective luster. Coloring is honey green-gold. Strike is complete is all areas though in shallow relief. Worthy of special consideration. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.0 (2015-2020) holder with CAC approval. December 1969
