The Capped Bust half dime series may be one of the shortest in early numismatics but is replete with challenging die marriages. As a dealer, I'm having loads of fun handling the common and rare marriages. This 1829 LM-7.1 R4 example is fully choice with granular frosted luster along with vibrant cartwheels under my LED desk lamp. Overall coloration is rose with blues and gold at the peripheries. Strike is complete for this R4 designation remarriage of Reverse E. An ancient toned over line bellow star 7 does not bother me. Housed in PCGS Gen 4.3 (2005) holder. December 1969
