The Lakeland Collection is releasing a rare 1869 FS-302 2 cent piece along with being in the condition census for that variety. Bold repunching is easily seen about the 1 and 8 digits. PCGS has graded and attributed only two examples at the MS64 level with none finer. This example offers premium eye appeal given its orange rose-brown coloration along with more prevalent orange-red on the reverse. Fields have a steely texture and provide ample luster during bright light review. Strike is complete with deeply impressed motifs. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.1 (2020-2022) holder. December 1969
