$2800 		Frosted Luster, Orange Cartwheels, Near-Gem Original, CAC Approval, Island Lake Collection. Another Island Lake Collection gold piece with the (+) designation due to a single surface abrasion. This well preserved 1894 $10 eagle is blanketed with micro mint frost leading to radiant luster. Interestingly, the cartwheels are orange-gold against a honey-gold background. I've not recognize this color effect on U.S. gold until inspecting this piece. A single mark on the neck correlates with the certified grade. Strike is full and nicely executed. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.1 (2020-2022) holder with CAC approval. December 1969
