$2362 		Choice Original, Seated Appalachian Collection.. Rich, golden gray patina fills the smooth surfaces of this better date New Orleans piece. Sea-green color highlights the thick toning, more so on the obverse, and the overall eye appeal is strong. The strike is sharp, with clean separation in the claw joints. WB-4, with a die crack from the rim to star 5, and a high, large mintmark punched to the left. The CAC population is a mere 22 pieces in all grades. The GFRC sales archive notes only three appearances of CAC-approved examples since 2017, including this piece, which last sold in November 2017.
