The Twin Lakes Collection has decided to release several pieces of U.S. including this choice 1904-S double eagle. This piece is graded AU58 with the lightest of rub. Vivid frosted luster and swirling cartwheels are noted under angled lighting. Coloration is orange-gold. Abrasions are minimal as the light rub in the cheek is driving the certified grade. Overall, a thoroughly pleasing San Francisco struck example. Housed in PCGS Gen 4.1 (2002-2004) holder. December 1969
