$1975 		Repunched Date, Old Album Toning, Top 100 Varieties Set Candidate, Upstate New York Collection. The 1838-O F-101 dime with repunched mintmark has notable collecting credentials. Since being the only New Orleans no stars date, collectors will often use for that type rather than the common 1837 Philly strikes. Secondly, the repunched mintmark is included in the Top Varieties set. The Upstate New York Collection has released an accurately graded example with colorful ring toning on both sides. Bright light viewing is must as multiple colors are amplified by steely reflective luster. There is one reverse line above the top right wreath that requires mention.
