$835 		Choice Original, Island City Collection.. 1897 New Orleans strikes amounted to slightly above one million. The story is the same as with most Barber quarters. The denomination was a commerce workhorse and circulated heavily throughout the United States well into the Depression Era. Present day survival and certification rates are remarkably low for the mintage. In EF or better, CAC approval rates are notably low with 14 approved in all grades spanning EF40 to AU58. Steely surfaces exhibit mild reflectance during bright light inspection. Choice gray surfaces are fully unabraded. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.0 holder with CAC approval.
