Sparkling luster is immediately captivating when placing this near-gem 1878-S Seated quarter under angled lighting. With little effort, the cartwheels are easily spun especially on the lighter toned reverse. Strike is hammered with all devices deeply impressed. Coloration is orange copper-gold with deeper shades on the obverse. Two toned over lines are seen by the right facing wing and legend. Yes, this piece has been to Far Hills NJ and did not pass.
