$7250 		Key New Orleans Issue, Rare Grade, Original, Mirrored Fields, Twin Lakes Collection. The Twin Lakes Collection is releasing one of the top 3 graded 1852-O quarters certified by PCGS. This example shares the same reverse as the Briggs 1-A 1851-O quarter. Briggs makes it clear that the 1852-O is "rare to nonexistent in grades XF or finer" and the rarity of this New Orleans issue cannot be denied. The example displays pale golden-gray toning over reflective and partially lustrous surfaces. Angled lighting exposes partial mirrors on both sides. A few light field lines are noted but none are distracting. A seldom offered grade, with characteristic rounded rims and tremendous appeal for Seated quarter date and mint collectors.
