A band of russet patina encircles the obverse, while the reverse exhibits bits of similar color within the legend. The overall eye appeal is compelling, and the new owner will be justifiable proud of an aesthetically pleasing, near-finest known piece. F-104a, with star 8 repunched and a bisecting reverse die crack running through DIME. The CAC census notes 64 pieces in all grades, with three examples higher, all at MS67.
