$3750 		Gem Original, Newtown Collection. Steely, granular luster hosts lilac patina on both sides, with additional shades of blue-green and gold evident on the obverse. The dynamic cartwheels are active and above average for the grade. Both sides reveal die polish, an effect also present on quarters of this year. F-104, although the die chips at stars 3-6 are not present as this portion of the coin is softly struck. The CAC population is 44 in all grades, and this example is tied for finest-known with three other MS66 coins. The CAC guide value is $3,750.
