Central California Collection. Misplaced 76 Digits in Gown die variety that is always popular with collectors. This lovely example offers satiny cartwheel luster that is consistent with a higher grade level. Obverse is covered with thin rose, aquamarine and blue patina while the reverse is mostly aquamarine and rose. Why the MS62 assigned grade? There are a few wispy hairlines in the right obverse field that were grade limiting against 1990s grading standards but allowed today up to the MS64 grade level. This dime is conservatively graded and housed in old PCGS blue label holder that dates back to the late 1990s. While residing in the Central California and Newtown Collections, this piece was never submitted to CAC and will heading for a review during the next GFRC submission. A choice duplicate from the Newtown Collection that will be pleasing to the new owner. Also an important die variety within the Top 100 Varieties set. December 1969
