$950 		Gem Original.. Price Reduction. Rich color is the hallmark of this late-date proof example, with nearly the entire spectrum represented at one point or another. The obverse exhibits deep maroon, russet, lemon, and aqua shades, while the reverse is more deeply toned with purple, blue, and burgundy patina. The strike is soft in several areas, including the head, AM(ERICA), and the ribbon. F-101, with the date punched high and sloping slightly downward, one of two proof dies for this year. PCGS has certified only three pieces finer, two at PR67 and a single piece at PR67+. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.0 (2015-2020) holder. December 1969
