The Seated dime series key date is unquestionably the 1867 Philadelphia strikes with 6,000 made for regular commerce along with 625 proofs. Proof strikes have always been in high demand for filling the empty 1867 date slot in any collection as circulation strikes are rarely seen at the upper grade levels. This example is a gem proof that exhibit watery fields covered with copper-gold and blue shades. Fields are highly reflective resulting in pleasing bright light viewing.
