Choice $7800 Near-Gem Original, Wisconsin Gold Collection.. Per David Akers, "Most of the Uncirculated examples that are known of this issue come from a single hoard discovered in the later 1870s". He continues and opines that 50 to 60 pieces were in the hoard with nearly all MS60 through MS63 level. This near-gem is indicative of the issue with its pleasing honey green-gold coloration and frosted luster that has a light granular texture. Bright light viewing is essentially undisturbed as the surfaces are minimally abraded. Accurately graded and housed in PCGS Gen 6.0 holder with "The Fairmont Collection " pedigree on label along with CAC approval.
