Along with the 1904-S key date, the 1896-O rarity is also well respected, especially at the AU and Mint State levels. Any 1896-O arriving to the market is noteworthy as is the case with this lovely EF45 example. This is a light steely gray piece with peripheral copper and rose-gold that is a bit darker in the GFRC mages as compared to the coin in hand. With a 10x, the surface tour failed to locate any blemishes worthy of mention. I like this piece regardless of the surface reflectively being a bit much for a CAC green bean. I'm going with a Choice quality rating as the balance between presentation and price point is quite fair.
