$585 		Civil War Date, Lightly Toned, Peripheral Olive-Copper Colors, Lakeland Collection. For Liberty Seated quarters, the 1863 Civic War issue marks the sharp reduction in mintage due to the scarcity of silver bullion. Mintage for that year is only 191,000, a 4X reduction as compared to 1862. This survivor is lightly toned with soft gray centers framed by olive and gold shades at the peripheries. Residual frosted luster appears under a bright light. The obverse strike is complete while the reverse has typical weakness at the claws. Housed in PCGS Gen 4.4 (2005-2011) holder. December 1969
