$525 		Gorgeous Old Album Toning, Choice Original, Ex Bart Chapman Collection. What a combination of gorgeous old album toning located on a challenging Capped Bust dime date! Though the mint reported that no dimes deliveries took place during 1824, it is postulated that most of the 100,000 dimes delivered on August 22, 1825, were dated 1824. The upper right oval of the 2 digit is easily seen under the final 4-digit punch on this choice example though there is moderate wear. The GFRC images only hint at the spectacular viewing under a bright light. Traces of mint frost are still evident on the date and within the reverse shield lines.
