Gem $1450 Sharp Mirrors, Hammered Strike, Gem Proof with Brown Certification. Handling a new consignment lot of gem proof Indian cents is a visual playground. Though most of the consigned lot is certified Brown, the bright light colorings are unique to each coin. This 1881 PR66 lot offers pristine fields, sharp mirrors, and multi-faceted viewing. The in-hand center violet-rose and peripheral teal colors shift to nicely delineated rose and light blue under angled lighting. If having patience and tilting the reverse to the perfect viewing angle, the surfaces become a continuous light blue. Yes, I'm having fun with this lot for sure and you will too.
