Splashes of lighter color are seen throughout the obverse, while the reverse exhibits intermingled silver and gold color with deep maroon shading at the rim. Steely luster creates a moderate cartwheel effect. The strike is sharp, with all claw joints delineated. WB-9, with repunched digits and a die line between the third and fourth set of reverse shield verticals. NGC has graded 20 pieces higher, with the highest at MS65.
