Gem $750 Gem Proof, Copper-Gold and Purple Delight, Hammered Strike, Pristine Surfaces. This 1903 proof Indian cent is the last date in a newly consigned lot. I've been thoroughly pleased with the lot's premium quality which is further echoed here. The visual experience, under my desk lamp, is best described as a "copper-gold and purple delight' as these colors are dominant. The reflective luster is more than consistent with the certified grade as the mirrors are sharp and brilliant. Reverse toning is cool with peripheral yellow-gold framing a bluish-brown center. Strike is 100% complete while the fields are unabraded. This 1903 proof Indian closes out the lot just as it started with gem offerings. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.1 (2020-2023) holder.
