$800 		Choice Original, Hoosier AU58 Collection Sale. This is a pleasing coin-gray example with darker shades in the stars and more so in the reverse legend. Light gold inhabits the protected areas, around the stars and within the gown folds and eagle feathers. A few vertical lines are present in the obverse fields, none inconsistent with the assigned grade. Briggs 1-A, the business strike die, with a distinct, upward sloping date. Business strikes are scarcer, and more desirable than proofs throughout the 1879-1889 low mintage period. Housed in a PCGS Gen 6.0 holder (2015-date). December 1969
