Choice $875 Near-Gem Original, Natural Frosted Luster, Well Preserved, Scenic Lakeview Collection. This first 1878 Morgan dollar issues comes with the 8 Tail Feather reverse which is ornithologic impossible as bald eagles have 7 tail feathers. Mintage with the erroneous reverse amount to 750,000 before the 7 tail feather reverse was introduced into production. This survivor sports natural frosted luster with faint gold coloration that is synonymous with strict originality. Surfaces are essentially unabraded with a single contact mark at the junction of Liberty's jaw and neck. An excellent example for type with that all important green bean. Housed in PCGS Gen 3.0 (1990=1993) old green holder with CAC approval.
