$475 		Isabella Commemorative, Steely Luster, Gunmetal Blue-Gray. Vibrant steely luster and rotating cartwheels are immediately noted for this 1893 Isabella 25c early commemorative with a limited mintage of 24,214. This issue was the result of a suggestion by Chicago socialite Mrs. Potter Palmer during early 1893 after the release of the Columbian Exposition half dollar. A bold strike is enhanced by gunmetal blue-green obverse toning while the reverse sports light copper-gold. Toning lines are note on the center obverse. Housed in PCGS Gen 4.4 (2005-2011) holder.
