Original $420 Semi-Key Date, Steely Surfaces, Gray-Blue Toning, Lakeland Collection. Consignor Price Reduction. The first better New Orleans date in the Barber quarter series with a mintage of 1,484,000. Early Barber quarters circulated heavily in the southern states leaving limited choice survivors for today's collectors. This example features steely fields that are essentially unabraded. Obverse toning is mostly peripheral golden blue while the reverse is best described as golden with mottled gray highlights. Yet another fine offering from the Lakeland Collection.
