 Choice $295 Crusty Gray Patina, Choice Surfaces, Complete Strike, Lakeland Collection. The Capped Bust half dime design was issued from 1829 through 1837 before the transition to Christian Gobrecht's Liberty Seated artistry during 1837. Collecting the series by date is not a difficult endeavor other than locating a premium 1837 example. This lovely 1833 issue is 100% original and overlayed with a fairly thick crusty gray patina. The ANACS grading is more than accurate as the strike and residual device details are limited only by light rub. Don't let the ANACS gold label holder hold you back from purchasing this piece as this one is all there for the grade and them some.
