 Original $495 Repunched Mintmark, Bisecting Reverse Die Cracks, Near-Choice, Lakeland Collection. Consignor Price Reduction. The Lakeland Collection is back with a Top 100 Variety offering that should garner attention. The 1839-O F-104a die variety features a boldly repunched mintmark (bottom) and a long horizontal bisecting die crack on the reverse. This long die crack must be present for inclusion in a Top 100 set. Surfaces are covered by a crusty gray patina with some "dirt" at the stars. Note the sharply repunched star 8. Strike is excellent and typical for the issue. Housed in new large font NGC holder.
