The CAC populations for certain issues in the Barber quarter series are not yet fully appreciated, and, in this case, CAC has graded only 23 coins in all grades. While the coin market has fully embraced the concept of absolute rarity, it has not yet completely understood that many issues are scarce when located with original surfaces. Once this piece is acquired, finding another CAC-approved example for sale will not be a trivial exercise. This coin reveals uniform silver-gray surfaces with a light mist of coffee patina atop the obverse, while residual luster is easily evident in the protected areas. The CAC price guide value is $608 in AU53. Housed in PCGS Gen 4.4 (2005-2011) holder with CAC approval.
