Gem $3000 New April 7! Superb Eye Appeal, A Frosted Gem, New Orleans Collection.. I'm often amazed at the Mint State survival rates presented by the Barber coinage series. Nerly all of the issues went into circulation and remained there until well worn. I'm excited about this New Orleans Collection release given its gem certification and superb eye appeal. The GFRC images only hint at the vibrant frosted radiance and bold toning colors that appear under a bright light. Center copper shades are surrounded by blues, aquamarine, and yellow-gold on the obverse with a higher predominance of copper on the reverse. There is strike weakness on the reverse and faint roller lines on the obverse as made. An unquestionable gem with few peers reaching the market at this grade level. Housed in PCGS Gen 5.0 (2015) holder.
