Choice $650 Better AU58 Date, Mottled Olive-Gold Patina, Frosty Luster, Complete Strike. This 1911 San Francisco Barber date sports a mintage of slightly under one million pieces. In recognition of the heavy circulation of small denomination coinage during the Great Depression, few survived choice. PCGS has only certified 19 examples at the AU58 grade level while the CAC approved total is a scant four pieces. That is s a miniscule fraction of the mintage. This specimen is 100% original with speckled olive-gold patina on the obverse and creamy light gold on the reverse. Reverse luster is particularly strong with vibrant cartwheels. Strike is complete with entirely unabraded surfaces. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.0 (2015-2020) holder with CAC approval. Ex. Twin Lakes Collection and previously sold by GFRC during March 2020.
