 Original $1150 Earlier Half Dime Proof Strike, Attractively Toned, Hairlines, Sooner Collection. 1858 brought the first year where Philadelphia proof coinage for half dimes reached the 100 piece threshold. This survivor exhibits moderate mirrors along with attractive ring toning. Most notable is the center copper-gold toning that becomes progressively darker before shifting to a sky blue at the periphery. With a 10x, faint hairlines are evident on both the obverse and reverse fields. A CoinFacts review indicates that this proof date only appears at auction every few years. Fairly priced and ready for a new home. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.0 (2015-2020) holder.
