The reverse is more uniform with varying shades of maroon toning present. Most star centers are evident if faint, while the eagle claws blend together. WB-9, with downward sloping date, and die cracks across top of UNI(TED). The Mint was anything but consistent in die preparation in this era, and this issue is popular among variety collectors, with 13 die marriages noted in the Wiley-Bugert reference.
