 Choice $1100 New March 15! Superb Peripheral Toning, Steely Frosted Luster, Near-Gem Original, Former New Jersey Collection.. Steely luster highlights this rim-toned example, which features pleasing patina among the stars and legend. Deep aqua color fills the stars, with shades of maroon and gold also present. O-110, with a spike at the outer point of star 7. Production of Bust half dollars was substantial, and these coins circulated widely. Today they are highly collectible, although exceptionally attractive examples, such as this piece, are challenging to locate. This lot realized $1100 during GFRC's March 2023 New Jersey Collection Auction Sale and returns to the price list at that number. Housed in a newer NGC holder with edge view insert and the O-110 attribution on the label.
