$525 		Small Wide S, Choice Original.. Pleasing rose patina evenly covers the obverse of this San Francisco piece and is present to a lesser extent on the reverse. Frosty luster is ample and most evident within the protected areas of the stars and legend. WB-2, with die damage in the obverse shield and a die crack connecting S and T in TRUST. Nicely struck, with most claw joints separated. Silver coinage production in the mid-1870s was extensive, and, while this coin is not particularly scarce, it remains an eye appealing, near-Mint State example. Housed in a PCGS Gen 4.4 (2005-2011) holder. PCGS #6351. December 1969
