Gem $985 Gem Original.. Briiliant radiance originates from the surfaces of this early three-cent nickel, with original mint bloom freely flowing from the largely untoned surfaces. A few tan shades are evident to the right of Liberty, while the reverse exhibits uniform nickel-silver patina. The CAC price guide value is $936. CAC reports 19 pieces at MS65, with 25 coins higher, all at MS66. In our opinion, the foundational value of this coin is compelling – for less than $1,000 one can acquire a 19th century type coin that is only a point removed from finest known.
